Why so many get it wrong. People think about money first, then look for opportunities.
- They worry more about the competition, than their own promotion strategy.
- They try to reverse engineer competitors but fail to put all the pieces together.
- They don’t do anything to differentiate themselves from the competition.
- They fail to think outside the box about traffic sources and promotion strategies.
- They rely too heavily on stats and tools, and fail to use their most powerful computer (their brain).
- They give up too early
- They don’t try new things
- They don’t do adequate research
- They go to broad
- They go to narrow
How to do it Right
- Check out your competition
- What are they doing right
- What are they doing wrong
- What are they missing
- Create a Unique Selling Proposition (USP)
- Doesn’t have to be a revolutionary idea
- Don’t copy your competition, do it better
- Be an authority
